Finally,night is approaching.The waning moon was appearing from behind the mist and the clouds in the indigo sky.I entered my room again from my balcony.Not bothering about the state of mess it was in,I went out the room and headed downstairs.I quickened my pace as I heard scratching of wood and slight whimpering.Smiling slightly,I took a detour into the kitchen and opened a can of sliced meat.I walked out and opened the room where all the scratching and whimpering was coming from.
'Hey baby,I know you're hungry."I turned the doorknob open and immediately something furry fled past me.
'Hey!Come back here,you little monster!The food's here...'I say in a singsong tone.
The little fluff ball walked cautiously towards me,sat right in front of me,gave a puppy-dog pout with the puppy-dog eyes and raised a paw.
'You smarty pants!You know I can't resist that look.Here,eat up.You'll need the energy for tonight.'I put the can on the ground and watch Tessie lap it all up in a matter of seconds.
I walk back to my room with Tessie at my heels,wagging her adorable fluffy tail.I opened my closet,pulled out an outfit I had reserved just for this night.

Erik
Reaching the driveway of the elaborate mansion owned by a distant relative,I noticed that there had to be at least 60 cars parked all over the lawn,the driveway and there were so many more cars outside the house parked by the roadside.All the cars were of course,no cheaper than a Bugatti Veyron would cost.
Entering the opened front doors of the 'house',I scanned my eyes around the room for any signs of my parents.Seeing the throng of people scattered all over the large hall,I doubted that I'd be able to find them within the next half an hour.Despite the large amount of people there,the noise was very minimal.The only sounds that could be heard were whispers moving around the room,the live band playing soft and soothing music and the occasional sneeze or cough.The place was decorated with draping silk falling from the high ceiling varying in colour and length.The enormous chandelier shone magnificently above everyone.The railings of the second floor were decorated with gold coloured ropes and shiny red jewels.
As my eyes swept across the corridors of the second floor,my attention was grabbed by the most beautiful girl I hd ever laid eyes on,and I've seen many beautiful girls throughout my 19 years of life.My breath got caught in my throat and I found it hard to breathe.
'Who is that?'I say softly to myself.

Slipping on the emerald green dress,I'm slightly surprised it still fits.It's been ages since I've actually dressed up.I was actually a little nervous about being in a dress again.After the incident,my confidence in myself and my trust in other people just plummeted.

The cold morning breeze passed by,caressing me like a loving and gentle hand.My long hair followed its chilly splendour,whipping about in its control.I looked out at the horizon of the calm glittery sea.Raising my hand to shield my eyes from the slight glare of the sun,I longed for the cloak of night to come again.

Erik
I stared up at the fullness of the shining orb in the star-encrusted sky.The sight of it never fails to leave me in wonder and awe.Smiling,a wave of relief just washed over me.I felt my stationary body enter a state of calm.
Suddenly,my attention was broken and it was diverted to the vibrating in my right jean pocket.I fumbled to get it our quickly.Glancing at the number on the screen,I gave a loud sigh.Mom.Saying a quick prayer that she wouldn't be angry,I answered it.
'Mom?'
'Where are you?' she exclaimed.'You told me you'd be back by 6!It's already 8:15!'
'Sorry mom.I just lost track of time.I wanted to call you,but I thought you'd already be at the dinner.'
'I've been trying to call you for the past 2 hours!Do you know how worried I've been?I didn't even know what to tell your father!'
'I'm really sorry,Mom.I'm on my way back right now.I'll see you in a while,okay?'
I quickly hung up before she could say another word.I got back on my bicycle and cycled back home as fast as I could.I left my bike in the garage and ran upstairs to my room to get a quick shower.There was a suit laid out on my bed,neatly pressed,not a crease in sight.
After showering,I threw on my clothes and rushed to my car.Putting the key into the ignition,I thought about how annoying my family could be.Every year,they just HAD to have some extravagant and complicated-not to mention unnecessary-event for the most nonsensical celebrations.Last year,they organised an event to celebrate the sixth full moon of the year.The most senseless thing about it was that about 500 of their 'closest friends' attended it.I just shook my head remembering the day.
